FC Barcelona 0-0 Manchester City LIVE! Friendly match stream, latest score and goal updates today
Pep Guardiola returns to Barcelona tonight as Manchester City face his former side in a charity friendly match. Raising funds for an important cause is the focus, rather than the result, with proceeds going towards aiding ALS research through the Luzon Foundation.
The match is taking place in honour of Juan Carlos Unzue, the former Barcelona goalkeeper and also a coach under Guardiola, who was diagnosed with the the incurable nervous system condition ALS two years ago.
City have named a side largely made up of players who have had minimal minutes so far this season, with Sergio Gomez, Kalvin Phillips and Julian Alvarez all starting at the Nou Camp. For Barcelona, Jules Kounde gets a chance to finally feature, with the centre-back still not registered for La Liga matches, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang also starts despite being strongly linked with a move to Chelsea. Live updates
7 mins: Raphinha tries his luck from range, straight at the goalkeeper.
Alba then gets forward well down the left wing, fires a low cross into the near post where Aubameyang is waiting. Walker gets there in time to put it behind for a corner.
5 mins: Barcelona as calm as ever knocking the ball around in their own box as City press them.
Hosts play around the yellow shirts though and burst forward. Kessie drives towards the box, goes for goal from just inside the area. Decent effort, just wide.
3 mins: BIG CHANCE!
Kounde brings the ball forward, slides a lovely pass through to Roberto and he is completely free on the right wing.
Crosses it into the box, Aubameyang from six yards out heads it straight at Ortega. Had to score really… Chelsea taking £5m off their offer as we speak.
2 mins: Friendly? Sort of.
Ball pinged out to the left wing towards Alba, Lewis charges up from right-back and absolutely clatters into the Barcelona man who looks in a fair bit of pain.
Heavy challenge, Alba will be fine to continue though.
