Transfer news LIVE! Chelsea FC improve Aubameyang bid; Arsenal eye Asensio; Tottenham gossip; Paqueta latest

There are only six full days to go until the close of the summer transfer window but Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham continue to dominate headlines. Thomas Tuchel is set for a frantic final week or so as the Blues boss tracks late moves for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Wesley Fofana and Anthony Gordon in a desperate attempt to strengthen his squad.

For Arsenal, Wilfried Zaha had reportedly emerged as an alternative to Pedro Neto as Mikel Arteta tries to bring in a new winger amid fears Wolves would price the club out of a move. Now, however, the Gunners could turn attention to Marco Asensio of Real Madrid, the Spanish international keen on leaving the Santiago Bernabeu.

Spurs, meanwhile, remain keen on Trevoh Chalobah. They will not be making a move for Lucas Paqueta though, with West Ham reaching agreement with Lyon for the midfielder. Follow all of the latest news, gossip and rumours below!

No talks over Ronaldo/Osimhen swap

Victor Osimhen’s agent has moved to play down links between his client and Manchester United.

Reports have suggested that United will swoop for the Nigerian striker before the transfer deadline, with claims that wantaway superstar Cristiano Ronaldo could be offered to Napoli as part of the deal.

However, it appears that Osimhen is staying at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona as he wants to play in the Champions League this season.

“There are no negotiations or swap deal talks in progress,” agent Roberto Calenda said, per Fabrizio Romano.

“Osimhen’s a Napoli player and he wants to play in the Champions League with Napoli. He’s proud of being in the Champions League.”

Tottenham’s Winks accepts Sampdoria loan move

Transfer-listed Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks looks to be heading to Sampdoria after all.

Interest from the Serie A outfit first emerged earlier this week, though it was initially understood that Winks would prefer to remain in the Premier League, with the likes of Southampton and Nottingham Forest potential suitors following previous links to Everton and Leicester.

However, the 26-year-old now seems to have been convinced, with The Athletic reporting that talks between Tottenham and Sampdoria have now intensified.

Fabrizio Romano goes one stage further, saying a loan has been agreed, with Winks accepting the deal and now preparing to travel to Italy.

Dubravka wants Man United move

One player who could be arriving at Manchester United before Thursday’s deadline is Martin Dubravka.

Having loaned out Dean Henderson to Nottingham Forest this season, the Red Devils are on the hunt for a capable deputy to David de Gea who can compete with 36-year-old Tom Heaton.

A potential move for Eintracht Frankfurt’s Kevin Trapp has now collapsed, with United seemingly switching their attentions to Dubravka, who has lost his starting job to Nick Pope at Newcastle.

The Slovakian international is very eager to move to Old Trafford, per Fabrizio Romano, and wants to agree personal terms.

He says United and Newcastle are discussing a season-long loan agreement that will include a £5m buy option that is not mandatory.

Forest not done in transfer window

Nottingham Forest have made 16 signings so far this summer – Steve Cooper wants more!

Serge Aurier and Michael Keane are among those who have been linked in recent days, and the Forest boss has confirmed the club’s business is not over yet.

“I can’t and I won’t talk about any players until they sign,” said Cooper.

“We have been linked with a lot, some are maybe true, some are definitely not. We would like to sign more players, I know we have signed a lot and we are not going to shy away from talking about that.

“The reality is we would like to have signed more than we have by now, but that’s the nature of the transfer window. We have a few more days and we will see where we end up.”

Pereira wants Willian at Fulham

Andreas Pereira has revealed he is trying to convince Willian to join him at Fulham.

The former Arsenal and Chelsea winger is a free agenet after leaving Corinthians earlier in the summer.

“Willian always has a place, right, I think,” Pereira told ESPN. “With the quality he has, he’s already shown it. Of course he has a place here at Fulham and it would be an honour to play with him. But let’s see what time will tell.”

“He said he’s here in England, he’s looking at the options he’s going to receive.

“I, of course, played my role, already told him that Fulham are a good club for him to play, that it would be an honour to play with him here, that he would help us a lot. So let’s see what will happen.”
