Teams have just a few hours left to seal their deals as the new Premier League season begins to take shape before us – with some fairing better than others. But that can all change with the signings being plotted today.

Arsenal and Tottenham have enjoyed a fairly straightforward summer with early deals settling their busy period down before the first game. The same cannot be said for Chelsea, however… But there is still plenty of time for a surprise transfer or two to come out of the woodwork.

When does the summer transfer window close?

September 1 is transfer deadline day at the end of this summer window.

Premier League clubs will have until 11pm BST, while Italy and Germany have a 5pm local time deadline. Spain’s transfer window comes to an end at 10:59pm, an hour earlier than in France. Nothing’s ever easy.
